About Me
Hi my name is Sal. Since the age of 15 I always had a fascination with wood. I started making small wood Items and later progressed to making more complex items like indoor/outdoor furniture and timber framing. In 1995 I found an article in one of my woodworking magazines with a step by step tutorial on how to carve a bear. Since I was always fascinated by chainsaw carvings and had a lot of experience with operating chainsaws, I decided to give it a try... and the rest was history. I have been hooked ever since. I started Woodland Creations in 2014 and create many different rustic woodcrafts and along with wood carvings. All of the wood I use for carving come from tree services, no trees are cut solely for the purpose of creating a carving, this is great way to recycle wood that can be created into a project and appreciated instead of being dumped and left to rot.
